Did you know?

What should the Catholic church do to attract more young people into the ministry?

Tim Spille "Everybody else in the real world has 'Take Your Kids to Work Day.' Priests and the religious need to take kids and have them become more involved in their ministries. In other words, 'Take Somebody Else's Kids to Work Day.' "
-Tim Spille, 52, residential property owner in Morningview, Ky.

Benjamin Armenta "Bring more information to teenagers and young college students. . I don't feel there is enough information about being a priest. (It) isn't there about what it's like to be a priest on a daily basis, what it's like to be a nun or an overseas missionary. I don't think kids know enough. Neither do parents."
- Benjamin Armenta, 25, an Anderson Township communications specialist who attends St. John Fisher Church in Newtown

Valencia Brown "I'm not a Catholic ...but I like Catholic schools for discipline, morals.... Why can't women be ordained? Why can't they be priests? How are you going to get all these strong-minded, self-confident young women to want to be nuns? The church will have to do more to recognize their value."
- Valencia Brown, a Pleasant Ridge stay-at-home parent of two children who attend Catholic schools
