DAYTON, Ky. - Two people suffered minor injuries in a boat accident on the Ohio River late Friday.
The accident occurred around 10:15 p.m. near the Watertown Yacht Club.
Dayton Police Sgt. Raleigh Barnett said two boats - a pleasure craft about 36 feet long and a 19-foot runabout - were both traveling upriver .
The operator of the larger boat apparently didn't see the smaller one before the accident, which capsized the runabout.
A man and a woman in the runabout jumped out of the boat before the accident, Barnett said.
The larger boat stopped after the crash and its occupants helped pull the two out of the water.
The couple were taken to St. Luke Hospital East in Fort Thomas. Their names and conditions were not available.
Authorities were pulling the runabout out of the water about midnight.
Barnett said lighting and visibility likely played a role. No charges are expected to be filed.
