Promotions and new on the job

• Cory Eyer has joined Nisbet Brower as account manager. Eyer has more than 13 years' experience in outside sales in the building industry serving both production and custom builders as well as major remodelers in the Greater Cincinnati market. He has an associate degree in business management from Northern Kentucky University.

• Gary Brian has been named director of sales and marketing at Alpha Packaging Solutions Inc. and Tim Schenck has joined the company as controller.

• Steve Altherr has joined Rick Warner & Associates as media director.

• W. Robert Taylor, formerly Cincinnati area district representative with fraternal financial services organization, Modern Woodmen of America, has joined the Cincinnati general office of New York Life as a financial service representative.

• Walt Rischmann has joined Regency Marble as a sales representative, serving the regional area of Southern Ohio, West Virginia, Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. Rischmann has more than 24 years' experience in the building industry working with the retail dealer trade, lumberyards and specialty shops. He holds an associate degree from Cincinnati Technical College.

• David S. Proudfit, an architect and director of specifications at Cole + Russell Architects Inc., has become a Fellow at Construction Specifications Institute. Proudfit is also vice president of the Institute and a member of the board.

• John Mack has joined The Ohio Valley Group, an affiliate of New England Financial, a Boston-based financial services company. Mack received his bachelor's degree in political science from the George Washington School of International Affairs and a master's degree from the Institut International de Glion, Switzerland/Cornell University.

• Daniel P. Finn, president of Finn Graphics Inc. in Cincinnati, has been appointed to a second term as vice president of the Midwest Screen Graphics Association.

• Jim Brock has been named service center manager for Tri-State Express Inc., Cincinnati.

• The following have joined ACF Mortgage as senior loan officers: Ken Meyers, Connie Engel, Teresa Roberts, Debbie Oglesby, Mary Pitts, Marny Herriman, Misti Rice, Michelle Davis, and Jim Whittenburg. Christi Tolbert has joined as senior processor.

• Denis Clark has joined the Executive Service Corps of Cincinnati as a volunteer consultant. Clark has over 30 years' experience as a marketing and sales executive in the information technology industry and works as a strategic business adviser to early-stage investor organizations. He retired from IBM in 1998 after 30 years with the corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Dayton.

Awards

• Dakin Insurance Agency Inc. of Lebanon has received the Platinum level status from Westfield Insurance for their top performance among the company's more than 1200 insurance agencies throughout the country.

• Horizon Productions Inc. has received the Award of Distinction and Honorable Mention at the Communicator Awards 2004 Print Competition.

• Assurant Employee Benefits, formerly Fortis Benefits, has recognized sales executive, Terry Boggs in the Cincinnati group sales office with the True Group Product Line Solutions Award for excellence in sales and customer service in 2003.

• The Tourism Council of Greater Cincinnati has recognized Wendy Garrett, housing assistant for the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau, as a 2004 ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) Award winner for outstanding customer service.

• Piotr Chomczynski, founder and president of Molecular Research Center Inc., a Cincinnati-based biotechnology company, has been awarded Poland's highest civilian honor, the Cavalier's Cross of the Medal of Merit, by Polish president Aleksander Kwasniewski.
