Police investigate shooting death

The Cincinnati Enquirer

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP - Hamilton County sheriff's detectives are investigating the killing of a man here early Sunday, but they have sketchy descriptions to go on.

Deputies found Thomas Boggans, 21, dead about 4:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Ashley Woods apartment complex on Walden Glen Circle. Witnesses said two men approached Boggans as he sat in his car, then one drew a semiautomatic handgun and fired. They told deputies they saw the men run away, but they couldn't give descriptions, the sheriff's office said.

Boggans, who lived on Walden Glen, was hit in the back near his left shoulder. He was taken to Mercy Franciscan Hospital-Mount Airy, where was pronounced dead.
