On the fridge: What's going on around the home

Swap meet

Trading kids: Moms, if you've ever wished you could exchange lives with another mom, the folks at ABC want to talk to you. Their upcoming reality TV show is The Swap. During each episode, the mothers of two families swap places for 10 days to experience how other families run. The network is lining up two-parent families to try out for the show. Details, (212) 905-6059 or e-mail theswap@rdfmedia.com.

Health help

Depression screenings available: According to the National Mental Health Association, more than 2 million of the 34 million Americans aged 65 and older suffer from some form of depression.

Mental Health Services East, a program of the Center for Children and Families, will offer free depression screenings from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Expo at Coney Island, 6201 Kellogg Ave., Anderson Township. Details, 321-8286.

Ribbon pets

Play ball for a cause: Animal lovers at Planet Dog, a pet products company, have partnered with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to offer a new product that will help raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Buy your dog the Ribbon Ringo, a peppermint-scented, hollow bouncy toy, and Planet Dog will donate 45 cents of the $9.95 retail price to the Komen Foundation.

Look for the Ribbon Ringo at your favorite pet storeor order it online at www.planetdog.com or call (800) 381-1516.

Paper goods

Clear memories: For a low-cost way to remember your family vacation, try this tip from Family Fun magazine:

When you travel, pick up extra copies of attraction maps, brochures and postcards. After the trip, cover the maps with clear Con-Tact paper and use them as place mats.

Camp time

Kids under foot: Spots are still open at a number of summer camps for kids listed in the Enquirer's online guide.

Several new camps have been added. Check out the guide today at Cincinnati.Com, keyword: camp.

Nice work

If you can get it: Have older teens all set to hang around this summer, doing nothing but playing video games? Let 'em do it - provided they get paid, of course.

Nintendo will recruit 48 people 18 and older for the Ultimate Summer Job: showcasing Nintendo video games at music, sporting and lifestyle events in six major markets throughout the summer. In addition to their salary of $100 per day for a three-day work week, those selected will join one of six Nintendo Street Teams competing for a $40,000 team bonus.
