Sweeps spotlight
Hope & Faith, 9-10 p.m., Channels 9, 2.
This is one of the shows that have brought fun back to Friday television. It offers broad comedy, likable stars and a strong concept: The self-centered Faith (Kelly Ripa) was fired from her soap opera and moved in with her responsible sister Hope (Faith Ford) and family.
Now - a week before the real daytime Emmys - we get a grand twist: The long-fired Faith has a surprise daytime Emmy nomination. She heads to New York along with her kin.
The result is an hour-long season finale stuffed with soap stars. It includes Susan Lucci, of course, plus Susan Flannery, Rebecca Budig, Eric Braeden and more.
