Lindsay Lohan, the star of Mean Girls, will host the MTV Movie Awards, which will air June 10.

"Lindsay is smart, funny, she has an amazing connection to the MTV audience, and she's a huge star," says Van Toffler, MTV president. "That makes her the perfect choice."

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl has the most nominations with six, including best movie and best on-screen team for co-stars Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.

D12, the Beastie Boys and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are among the bands scheduled to perform.
