The Cincinnati Preservation Association (CPA), in conjunction with the Hyde Park office of Fifth Third Bank, recently held its annual Historic House Tour. During the five hours of sunshine, about 500 attendees toured six magnificent Hyde Park homes, each of both historic and architectural significance. Homes on the tour were a Green Hills Road Colonial Revival mansion modeled after Mount Vernon; a Rookwood Drive Tudor manor; a Handasyde Avenue Pennsylvania-style rubblestone house; a Holly Avenue Dutch Colonial Revival; an Ambleside Place Colonial Revival; and a Vista Avenue French Revival.
The tour, chaired by CPA trustee John S. Bendel and newly appointed CPA executive director Kendall Fisher, raised just over $20,000 for CPA. Committee members included Janet Allen-Reid, CPA vice president Susan L. Haas, CPA president Ronald T. Bates, Stewart Shillito Maxwell, Suki Skidmore and Brandi Voss.
