St. Joseph's Orphanage held its annual Spring Art Fling at the Cincinnati Zoo's Safari Lodge. The evening featured an auction of both professional art and children's art curated by Annie Bolling of Annie Bolling Gallery in Oakley. More than 300 guests attended the event, chaired by Karen R. Feld. The evening included dinner from Chef's Choice and dancing to the music of Absolute. Participating artists included Harry Reisiger, Tony Dotson, Pam Kravetz, Gordon Baer, John Ruthven, Charley Harper, Brad Smith, Thomas Schiff, John Kluesner, Beverly Eschell, Cynthia Hoskin and Susan Wolterman.
Corporate sponsors included Cinergy, Fifth Third Bank and Mercy Health Partners. This year's Spring Art Fling grossed almost $50,000, but expenses still must be tallied before net proceeds can be determined. St. Joseph's Orphanage provides mental health care and support services to neglected, abused and emotionally troubled children and their families.
