DEERFIELD TWP. - Water will be turned off for some of the Snider Road area Wednesday, and when service returns, a boil water advisory will be in effect.
The water will be shut off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. while the Warren County Water and Sewer Department makes improvements in the area. After the water is turned back on, residents are advised to boil their water for at least two minutes and use bottled water for cooking and drinking.
The boil advisory affects residents on Snider Road from Sherman Terrace Drive to Hunter's Green Boulevard and along Sherman Terrace Drive from Snider Road to Parkview Circle.
The advisory is in effect until further notice.
Arts and crafts fair seeks exhibitors
MIAMI TOWNSHIP - Organizers are looking for exhibitors for the township's arts and crafts fair at the annual "Midsummer in the Meadows" here.
Exhibitors in the arts and crafts fair must reserve space by June 16. Price is $55 for residents, $80 for non-residents. Application information is available online at www.miamitwp.org, at the Miami Township Recreation Department at 5900 McPicken Drive, or by contacting the recreation department at (513) 248-3725, ext. 118.
The event will be 6 to 10 p.m. July 9 and 2 to 10 p.m. July 10. Last year's event attracted more than 20,000 people for live music, food and children's activities.
Clermont plans seat-belt crackdown
BATAVIA - The Clermont County Sheriff's Office is intensifying efforts on the two weeks surrounding Memorial Day to ticket drivers who aren't wearing seat belts.
In part of the statewide "Click It or Ticket" campaign, deputies in Clermont County will be seeking out drivers and passengers of motor vehicles who aren't wearing seat belts between May 24 and June 6.
Two-thirds of those killed in accidents in Ohio in 2003 were not wearing seat belts, according to the National Traffic Safety Administration.
