P&G, British firm sign research deal
The Mason-based pharmaceuticals unit at Procter & Gamble Co. has signed a drug-discovery deal with Inpharmatica Ltd., a British research company. P&G will fund a research program at Inpharmatica and pay license fees to use the new discoveries.
Great American acquires policies
Great American Financial Resources Inc. has acquired a block of fixed-annuity policies written by National Health Insurance Co. Great American, controlled by American Financial Group Inc., said the block has about 33,000 policies with statutory reserves of about $780 million. At its annual shareholders meeting Tuesday, Great American repeated expectations that 2004 operating earnings would be 25 percent higher than 2003 figures.
ESSC test lab now in Sharonville
ESSC Test Laboratory, a unit of Cincinnati Sub-Zero Products Inc. that does product reliability testing, has moved from Blue Ash to 11901 Mosteller Road, Sharonville.
