Promotions and new on the job

• Richard L. Norton, partner in the law firm of Katz, Greenberger & Norton, LLP, has been appointed president of the Hamilton County Trial Lawyers Association for a two-year term. Norton received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 1961 and law degree from Ohio State University College of Law in 1964. He is co-author of Ohio Personal Injury Practice Forms & Comment, published by Banks-Baldwin in 1994, and is the former chairman of the tort and insurance committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association.

• James D. Houston has joined Thompson Hine LLP as an associate in the business litigation practice group in the Cincinnati office.

• Lou Rios of Brio Tuscan Grille in Newport and Justin Stratford of Bravo in West Chester Township have been named district partners at Bravo Development Inc. .

• Phyllis Layton-Perry has been appointed chair of the National Council for International Visitors.

• Tom Gale has joined ThermalTech Engineering as a mechanical engineer.

• Shenna Johnson has joined Freedman, Gibson & White as account manager in the client services department. Johnson is responsible for project management and is the lead contact for clients including Fazoli's and other retail accounts. She is the former manager of marketing/communications at the Clermont Chamber of Commerce, where she handled all aspects of member and media communications as well as the development of all marketing materials. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1999.

• The following have been named real estate sales associates at Sibcy Cline Realtors: Mishell R. Mueller, Lakota Beckett; Sally Spears, Blue Ash; Gian S. Parihar, West Chester Township; Michele Mederer, Anderson Township; Beatrice A. Norris, R. Wayne Loudermilk, Tracy Williams and Rhonda Sawyers, Milford; Patricia K. Doller, Northwest; Cathy Flory, Northeast; and Walter Smith, Fairfield. Joan Shockey has joined the Fort Mitchell office as a Realtor; Patricia Zirkelbach and Emily McMahan have joined the Western Hills office as residential real estate specialists; and Kimberly B. Hauser has joined the Northern Hills office as residential real estate specialist.

• Don Salamon has joined Conners Machinery Sales, a supplier of machine tools to manufacturing companies in the Tristate, as a partner. Salamon has more than 30 years experience with metal working companies in southern Ohio.
