Worth watching
Legally Blonde (2001), 8-10 p.m., Channels 19, 45. On rare occasions, a movie can be entertaining without being especially clever or witty.
This paper-thin plot has a silly, boy-crazy coed going to Harvard Law School. Beneath that hot-pink surface, people learn, is a sharp mind.
This works because Reese Witherspoon gives the character buoyant joy and director Robert Luketic provides a glowing look. Audiences are soon carried away by the spirit.
The Best Man (1999), 8-10 p.m., Channel 25. Malcolm Lee wrote and directed this comedy-drama and produced it with his cousin, Spike. It is set at a wedding, where an author (Taye Diggs) is surrounded by people he has portrayed negatively.
Critics liked the film in moderation, except for its length. It could be helpful that a half-hour will be trimmed for TV.
Joan of Arcadia, 8 p.m., Channels 12, 7. This series wraps up its excellent first season with Joan having some doubts about God.
The George Lopez Show, 8-9 p.m., Channels 9, 2. In the hour-long season finale, George fears that his daughter is being cheated by her boy friend. What he discovers isn't what he was looking for.
20/20, 9-11 p.m., Channels 9, 2. Tentatively scheduled is a look at the many sides of sibling relations.
JAG, 9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. The season ends with unhappy news for both Harm and Mac.
CSI: Miami, 10 p.m., Channels 12, 7. This rerun involves the brutal break-in at the home of a former surfing star.
