Ohio GM plant to idle SUVs for week

General Motors Corp. plans to idle production at its sport utility vehicle plant in Moraine, Ohio, for a week in June to better match production with demand, the automaker said Friday. The plant's 4,000 workers will go on temporary layoff June 14-20. The plant produces mid-sized SUVs, including the GMC Envoy, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Buick Rainier.

Chamber member at D.C. forum

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce selected Nicole Christian of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce as one of 25 local chamber executives nationwide to attend its export development seminar in Washington, D.C., Sunday through Wednesday. Christian, a resident of Fort Thomas, is vice president of business development for the Northern Kentucky Chamber.
