TriHealth opens second seniors service
WALNUT HILLS - TriHealth on Friday opened its second neighborhood SeniorLink service as part of a program aimed at helping chronically ill seniors stay in their homes.
The new service is based at the Park Eden apartment complex for low-income seniors.To qualify for care, people must be at least 55 and in need of long-term medical and personal care yet capable of living at home. For more information call (513) 569-6781.
Springfield Twp. to have special meeting
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP - The Board of Trustees of Springfield Township will conduct a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. today at the police department, located at 2230 Compton Road.
Trustees will decide at the session whether to award bids for capital improvement projects and other items.
Gold Star Chili hosts police education night
MOUNT WASHINGTON - A police education night will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gold Star Chili restaurant in this Cincinnati neighborhood.
Children can learn bicycle and seat belt safety. There will be a police cruiser there and a police dog from the department's K-9 Unit.
Children 10 and under can eat for free during the event with an accompanying adult combo meal purchase.
The restaurant is located at 2231 Beechmont Ave.
Warren County well pump being repaired
LEBANON - A pump at Warren County's north well field is being repaired after crews found it was tripping the circuit breakers, and generating loud noises and vibrations.
County commissioners approved this week $16,000 for emergency repairs.
