Girl says gunman approached her
WEST CHESTER - A 9-year-old girl told police Tuesday that a man with a handgun tried to entice her into his pickup truck on Birchwood Drive.
The girl said the man motioned for her to get into his vehicle about 5:40 p.m. in the 7300 block of Birchwood Drive, police said.
The suspect drove off when the girl's two younger brothers approached the truck, police said.
The suspect, a white male in his 30s, with short brown hair and a scar or scratch on the left side of his face above the jaw and wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, was driving a shiny black, full-size pickup truck with tan seats.
Anyone with information should call West Chester police at (513) 777-2231.
