Opera Rap: Hear excerpts from Cincinnati Opera's upcoming The Daughter of the Regiment and Don Giovanni, performed live by the Cincinnati Opera Education Ensemble, at "Opera Rap," 7 p.m. today at the Taft Museum of Art, 316 Pike St, downtown. Star Wars Concert: Conductor Sarah Ioannides, the first female conductor on the staff of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, leads the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra, 3 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at Walnut Hills High School, 3250 Victory Parkway. The concert includes the Olympic Fanfare, a Star Wars medley, The Planets by Gustav Holst, Dvorak's New World Symphony, Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, and more.
The superb youth orchestra will recognize its graduating seniors. Also, Ioannide sis leaving her post of assistant conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony to pursue her career in Europe. The concert is free and open to everyone. 744-3333 or www.cincinnatisymphony.org.

Tsar Treasures: Nicholas and Alexandra: At Home with the Last Tsar and His Family (Treasures of the Alexander Palace) opens its national museum tour Saturday in Sante Fe and ends its year-long travels from Jan. 29 to May 1, 2005 at Cincinnati Museum Center.
More than 250 art objects, costumes, paintings, icons and family photographs provide an intimate picture of Nicholas II and his family. Among the objects on view will be Faberge's "Imperial Basket of Lilies in the Valley," a Gobelin tapestry and personal photo albums including family snapshots.

Out all night
All Night Movies: Holiday Auto Theatre near Hamilton dishes up a Memorial Day hog roast and dusk-to-dawn movies Saturday. The picnic roast, also featuring hot dogs, burgers and other choices, starts at 3:30 p.m. The all-night movie show starts at 8:30 p.m. with Shrek 2, Mean Girls, School of Rock, Along Came Polly and Euro Trip. Full breakfast for $1.99 will be available during the last movie. Tickets, which include both events, are $20, $9 for kids under 11 and free for children under 4.
