Second-half real estate tax bills for about 320,000 Hamilton County property owners were mailed Friday.
About half of the bills went directly to single-property owners with the remainder sent to multiple-property owners as well as financial institutions, which pay property taxes out of customers' escrow accounts.
The deadline for payment is midnight June 21.

Anderson Chamber hosting golf outing
ANDERSON TWP. - Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual golf outing June 14 at Royal Oak Country Club, 1 Stillmeadow Drive.
The event is the largest fund-raiser of the year for the chamber. Tee times are 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Cost is $120 per person, which includes green fees, cart, dinner and door prizes.

Deerfield to discuss proposed Wal-Mart
DEERFIELD TWP. - Township trustees will continue discussing the proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter June 17.
The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Landen Station meeting room, 3292 Montgomery Road. Trustees have been in a series of meetings that started in late March, but have not yet decided whether to approve the development.
The Shoppes of Deerfield, which is anchored by the Supercenter, is being proposed for the land between Deerfield Towne Center and a Kroger shopping center on Mason-Montgomery Road.
Waggin' Tails Walk at Miami Whitewater
HARRISON - The Animal Adoption Foundation will hold its first Waggin' Tails Walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 10 at Miami Whitewater Forest. The 1-mile dog walk will feature vendors, demonstrations, photographers and contests, including "owner look-alike," "most talented dog" and "best dressed."
