Man held in attempted abduction
The Cincinnati Enquirer
HAMILTON - Police say the attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl was averted Wednesday night when her father grabbed the suspect and held him down.
Timothy Dick, 33, of West Chester, is being held on a charge of attempted kidnapping. A Hamilton Municipal Court judge set his bond at $10,000. His next court date is June 10.
Police arrested Dick after being called to the 1000 block of St. Clair Avenue about 10 p.m. Wednesday. They found a man had pinned the suspect on the ground. Police said the man was the father of the girl who said the suspect tried to drag her away.
Detectives were trying to determine whether the incident could be linked to a series of similar reports in Madison, Fairfield and West Chester townships.
Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Dan Stevenson at 868-5811, ext. 1251.
