Urban League graduates 37
The Urban League of Greater Cincinnati will graduate 37 leaders from its African-American Leadership Development Program at 2 p.m.today in commencement exercises at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Keynote speaker is Carl Westmoreland, historian, curator and senior adviser to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. This is the conclusion of the leadership program's 11th year. Program highlights art Nazis banned
Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati Art Museum and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music will team up for Forbidden Sights and Sounds: Nazi Suppression of Art and Culture at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Eden Park. The presentation, created by HUC's Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education, combines music, readings and a visual backdrop of art banned during the Nazi regime. Guest speakers will include Henry Meyer, a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp and violinist in the LaSalle Quartet.Tickets - $20, $10 students - can be purchased at the door or can be reserved by calling 222-7444, ext. 355.

The ramp from eastbound Ohio 125/Beechmont Avenue to eastbound Ohio 32/Batavia Road will be closed today until 11 p.m. for curb work. There will be no detour for this closure.
