Tristate business summary



1.1 million flew Comair in May

Comair, the regional airline subsidiary of Delta Air Lines based in Erlanger, Thursday reported it set a traffic record in May. The company carried 1,101,894 passengers last month. The previous record was 1,074,335 passengers, set in March.

LabOne builders get to work

LabOne Inc. will break ground Tuesday on a $21 million lab in Bond Hill's Techsolve Business Center. LabOne, of Lenexa, Kan., earlier this year bought the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati's Avondale-based laboratory division for $38.5 million. The city gave tax incentives worth $2.6 million to woo the company and keep 562 jobs within the city. Ohio kicked in another $4.1 million to keep the jobs and spur the creation of up to 400 more.
