Promotions and new on the job

• Peter A. Schmid has been appointed an associate in the law firm of Deters, Benzinger & LaVelle, P.S.C. in the commercial litigation practice group. Schmid obtained his law degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2003 and has a bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary. He was a law clerk for Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Dennis S. Helmick.

• The following have joined Northlich: Brett Cassidy, project director; Melinda Davis and Trey Harness, assistant account managers; Rob Pasquinucci, senior account manager; Jon Reischel, management supervisor; Tracy Roller, accountant; and Courtney Williams, traffic coordinator. Nicole Bigley has been named senior account manager; Tina Haithcoat, account manager; and Liz Phillips, account supervisor.

• Emily Butler has joined FocusMark Group LLC as senior art director.

• Dr. Eliezer Katz has joined CTI Clinical Trial and Consulting Services as medical director and David Irons as senior manager business development.

• Bruce Bonnevier has joined Hillenbrand Industries Inc. as vice president, human resources.

• Robert Flowers has joined Umble Gayhart & Jacobsen CPA as a facilitator. Flowers was with Sherrington Foods Inc. for 22 years as a controller. He has been in the accounting/financial industry for 29 years. He has a bachelor's degree in education from Georgia Southwestern College and has taken accounting classes at the University of Cincinnati.

• Todd Penney has joined SM&B as a partner to provide clients with labor and employment representation.

• Dr. Jon B. Bruss has been appointed vice president, clinical/medical/regulatory and chief medical officer at PediaMed Pharmaceuticals Inc.

• Richard D. Spoor has joined Keating, Muething & Klekamp as a partner and his son, William D. Spoor, has joined as an associate. Both will practice in the real estate practice group in the area of bond and municipal law and financing transactions.

• John W. Hopper has joined Conexio LLC as chairman/chief executive officer.

• Angela Delfendahl has joined Freedman, Gibson & White as an office assistant.

• DeDe Colvill has been named regional sales manager for eLynx Ltd., a provider of electronic document delivery solutions; Harry Dressler to senior project manager; and Mark Keller, implementation engineer.

• Sherwood MacVeigh has joined Libby Perszyk Kathman as brand account leader; Erin Benke, financial analyst; and Dawn Dean, senior designer. Tiffany Scotty to brand account leader.

• Tracey Troxel has joined Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co. as outsource accounting specialist in the Cincinnati office; Shanna Baxter has joined the Springfield office as a staff II accountant; and Melissa Barger, Robin Dennis and John Masheck have joined the Middletown office as staff I accountants.

• Randy D. Phillips has joined Haberer Registered Investment Advisor as vice president. Phillips has more than 22 years of portfolio management and investment research experience. He has a bachelor's degree from Ball State University.

Awards

• Chambers USA, a publishing group based out of London that specializes in legal publishing, has named Dinsmore & Shohl LLP as one of America's leading law firms. Ten lawyers are recognized as being leaders in their field: Mark A. Carter, Jon L. Fleischaker, Michael W. Hawkins, W. Henry Jernigan Jr., Richard A. Killworth, Kim Martin Lewis, Clifford A. Roe Jr., Lynda E. Roesch, Forrest H. Roles and George H. Vincent.

• Jennifer (Lee) Dietrich, a graduate of Lebanon, has been named store manager of the year for Pier One Imports. Dietrich has been with the company for 11 years, where she started as a part-time sales associate while attending Wright State University. She has been store manager of Pier One Imports for four years, during which she has managed three different locations.

• Roche, the health care company, has honored one of its medical representatives, John Michael, with a President's Club Award for dedicated service throughout 2003. Michael, of Cleves, received the award for his ongoing commitment to patient care and outstanding customer service.
