MANSFIELD - Miss Lake Erie Amanda Beagle, a vocalist from Warren, was crowned Miss Ohio 2004.
Beagle, 24, a graduate of Youngstown State University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, will represent the state in the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City, N.J., Sept. 18. Her platform is improving after-school, weekend and summer arts programs for youth.
Beagle receives a $15,000 scholarship for winning Saturday night's pageant.
The first runner-up was Leslie Denise Ondrey, 22, of North Olmsted. Julie Inboden, 22, of Dresden, was the second runner-up.
Rounding out the top 10 were Laura Elizabeth Hutfless, 22, of Springboro; Jennifer Lynne Keller, 24, of Twinsburg; Jennifer Myunghae Hah, 23, of Westlake; April Gaye Cobun, 22, of Rockford; Kelly Diane Carman, 24, of Ontario; Jeana Marie Jones, 24, of Ottawa; and Jillian Renee Dansko, 19, of Seven Hills.
