FAIRFIELD TWP. - Residents who need zoning permits or variance forms can find them on the Internet, with a lot of other information about the Butler County township.
Almost a year in the works, the township's Web site has finally been completed.
Residents also can access the zoning code, a directory of employees, community calendar, township history and weather updates at www.fairfieldtwp.org.
Clermont approves deal with Chamber
BATAVIA - The Clermont County Board of Commissioners last week approved a $50,000 grant agreement with the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce to assist the county in economic development and business retention and attraction.
The regional agreement will allow the county to have a seat on the Cincinnati USA Partnership Board of Governors, which gives the county a voice in regional initiatives and programs, said Kathy Lehr, communications director for Clermont County.
Program targets asthma sufferers
The Southwest Ohio chapter of the American Lung Association is hosting a "Living with Asthma Night" from 7-8:30 p.m. July 13 at the Carriage Court Community Center, 4650 E. Galbraith Road.
Dr. Lawrence Newman, an allergy and asthma specialist, will speak about the physiology of asthma, asthma medications, how to be proactive with asthma care.

Bicycle safety event planned in Blue Ash
BLUE ASH - Kids from kindergarten through third grade can ride a safety course, have their bicycles inspected and chow down at a cookout on Saturday at the police department's fourth annual Bike Safety Rodeo.
Officers will check rider helmets for proper fit and issue photo licenses. Children who complete the course receive a free T-shirt.
The event, sponsored by State Farm Insurance and the police Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the nature preserve parking lot behind the police department on Cooper Road.
Participants will be eligible for prize drawings, including two new bicycles.
Lunken noise study solicits public input
MOUNT WASHINGTON - The public can comment on recommendations from a noise abatement study of the city-owned Lunken Airport during a 6 p.m. Thursday hearing at Sands Montessori School, 6421 Corbly Road.
The two-year noise study is wrapping up and is expected go to Cincinnati City Council for a vote, possibly by the end of the month, and then on to the Federal Aviation Administration for approval.
Ninety percent of the study's $250,000 cost came from the FAA; airport revenues paid for the other 10 percent.
