This year's Concours d'Elegance, one of the top five classic car shows in the country, is in its 27th year of benefiting the Ohio River Valley Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
Marion and Dave Snyder chaired this year's Concours, which featured the Cadillac. Grand marshal was Dennis Gage of the Speed Channel's My Classic Car. Concours weekend kicked off with a party and art preview at Zakira's Garage in Mariemont, chaired by Janet and Ed Hermes, who have served on the event committee all of its years. The event drew a record 140 guests.
Following a rainy countryside auto tour that ended in Ault Park the next day, a sold-out crowd of 400 turned out for "Cruisin' On ... for a Cure."
Guests enjoyed cocktails, a close look at classic cars, a buffet and silent and live auctions. The event's third day, open to the public, featured a display of automobiles from across the country and an automotive-themed art show.
This year's Concours d'Elegance netted $60,000-$70,000.
