Promotions & new on the job

• Laura Kuhlman has been named president of RGI Design, marketing communications firm. Kuhlman joined the company 11 years ago as senior designer. She received her degree from the University of Cincinnati's College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning.

• Keith Kesserich of Restor-Aid Restoration and Disaster Services has been appointed director of the Cincinnati chapter of the American Indoor Air Quality Council. Kesserich has spent more than 11 years in the cleaning and restoration industry. He is a certified microbial remediation specialist.

• Dr. George Mandybur, neurosurgeon, has joined the Mayfield Clinic & Spine Institute in Cincinnati. Mandybur, a 1990 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, completed his neurosurgery residency at the Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1996, where he also received specialized training in movement disorders and surgical pain management. He most recently served as associate professor of neurosurgery and director of stereotactic and functional neurosurgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

• Elaine McNally Jarchow has been named dean of the college of education at Northern Kentucky University. Jarchow has a doctorate and a master's degree from Kent State University, as well as a bachelor's degree from Ohio University. She was dean of the college of education at Zayed University in Dubai. She also served as dean of academic affairs at Dar Al-Hekma Private College, Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, and was dean of the college of education at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.


• Stuart A. Schloss Jr., partner with Ulmer & Berne, has received the Volunteering is Phenomenal Award from the Hamilton County Community Mental Health Board.

Relocation and name change

• Harry Cactus Salon & Spa has changed its name to Ambience Salon Spa and relocated from 11276 Chester Road, Sharonville, to 9437 Civic Center Blvd., West Chester Township.
