What would food marketers do without the low-carb rage? The cola giants have introduced two new drinks promising half the sugar and reduced carbohydrates. Pepsi Edge has 70 calories and 20 grams of carbs, while Coke's C2 offers 70 calories and 18 carb grams.
In the taste department, both are disappointing, we think. C2 might taste the least offensive and most like the full-sugared cola. Pepsi Edge has the familiar tang, but finishes with a weak artificial flavor. And if you're watching carbs, why not go all the way instead of half-way, and drink diet?
