5/3 won't drop Davis over photos

Fifth Third Bank said Wednesday it is not reconsidering the use of actress Paige Davis in its advertising after she was caught on film at a New York City fund-raiser hamming it up as a strip-club dancer and allowing men to stuff dollar bills into her clothes. The photographs were published in the tabloid Star - then mentioned in a New York Post gossip column. Davis, the Trading Spaces host who does TV spots for the Cincinnati-based bank, admitted she flashed the crowd for fun at the Broadway Bares charity event in New York City June 20. The event raised more than $500,000 for AIDS-related causes. Fifth Third spokeswoman Stacie Haas said the bank would not comment on the photos.

Continental orders GE engine kits

Continental Airlines has ordered upgrade kits from GE Aircraft Engines for 35 GE90-90B engines powering its Boeing 777 fleet. The performance improvement program kits improve fuel efficiency up to 2.5 percent and lowers exhaust gas temperature margins. Cost of the engine upgrades wasn't disclosed.
