NORTHSIDE - A man was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated murder after police said he called his apartment manager and said he'd shot his wife.
Douglas Robinson, 48, stayed at the Thompson Heights Avenue apartment after the shooting until police came and arrested him.
He called the apartment manager and a woman who dispatchers described as his caseworker with Cincinnati Restoration Inc., a mental health services agency, dispatch reports say. He told the caseworker he was going to unload the gun and put it on the counter.
Officers, responding just after 10 a.m., found Patricia Robinson, 54, with a fatal gunshot wound.
The killing was the 39th homicide in the city this year. That compares with 36 as of this date in 2003, which had a 26-year high of 75 homicides.
