Promotions and new on the job

• Yousuf J. Ahmad has been named vice president, clinical informatics, at Mercy Health Partners of Southwest Ohio. Ahmad will be responsible for leading and directing the implementation of clinical information systems, including hardware and software in Mercy's five area hospitals and in its physicians' offices. Before joining Mercy Health Partners, he was vice president and chief information officer for Group Health Associates. He earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and a master's of health services administration from Xavier University. He is in the process of earning a doctorate in public health from the University of Kentucky.

• Michael Dean has joined Blackwell Consulting Services as account manager, network services.

• Alan Gropp has been appointed corporate vice president of operations for Trillium Health Care Products Inc., responsible for manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States; Lyle Horvath to director of finance with responsibilities for all corporate finance, plant accounting, tax and treasury matters; Josh Chou to plant manager for the St. Bernard Soap Co., a division of Trillium Health Care Products Inc.

• Joining Comey & Shepherd Realtors as associates specializing in residential sales are: Jill M. Dugan and Cassandra "Cassie" Feldhaus, Anderson; Lori A. Smith and Misty Miller, Montgomery; Gary R. Montesi, Donald Akins and William J. Hayes, West Chester Township.

• Laurens (Larry) N. Sullivan Jr. has been appointed vice president and national accounts manager, institutional sales, at Ohio National Financial Services. For 19 years, Sullivan was associated with Legg Mason, most recently as senior vice president of its broker/dealer, Legg Mason Wood Walker.

• Charlene Himes has been named executive director of Bridgeway Pointe, an assisted-living residence on the Drake Center campus.

• Named vice presidents at RGI Design, a strategic, full-service marketing communications firm, were: H. Lee Lapole, client services; Denise Georgeson, creative; and Leslie Clark, production.

• Holly Shoemaker has joined LPK (Libby Perszyk Kathman) as senior designer. Shoemaker is a graduate of Miami University and holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design. She will assume additional leadership responsibilities for a variety of brands.
