Attempted abduction in Hamilton investigated
The Enquirer
HAMILTON - Police are investigating the attempted abduction of a woman at Millville and Edgewood avenues Tuesday morning.
The woman was cleaning her car about 8:30 a.m. when a man approached her and asked for directions. Before she could speak, the man put his hand over the woman's mouth and warned her not to scream or talk, Hamilton Police Officer David Crawford said.
The woman kicked the suspect, and he pulled away. She then got into her car and fled, Crawford said.
The man is described as Hispanic, in his mid 30s, about 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He has black hair, brown eyes and a scar on the left side of his face. He was wearing a red ball cap, red tank top and red shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Jim Smith at 868-5811, ext. 1282.
