Police bring charges in alleged dragging
FORT THOMAS - Police have charged a Dayton, Ohio, man with using his car to drag a Fort Thomas police officer on Monday.
Richard L. Morrisson, 24, is charged with third-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, receiving stolen property and driving on a suspended license. He was also served with a warrant for failing to pay a fine in Kenton County.
He was being held at the Campbell County jail Wednesday in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Fort Thomas Police Officer Jamie Gadzala suffered a knee injury when he fell from a car as the driver fled the BP station parking lot at Highland and Grand avenues about 6 p.m.
Officer hurt as car crashes into creek
WILLIAMSTOWN - A police officer walked away with minor injuries after crashing his cruiser into a creek Tuesday night off Interstate 75 in Grant County.
Williamstown Officer Roger Nowakowski lost control of his cruiser on a wet section of I-75 near the Barnes Road overpass at 7:30 p.m. The car went down a 400-foot embankment before stopping in the creek, police said.
Nowakowski was treated at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Grant County and released.
He was responding to a domestic complaint in Corinth.
Person missing after boats collide on lake
WILLIAMSTOWN - Divers were searching Williamstown Lake for a missing boater Wednesday night after two boats collided on the lake.
The crash occurred about 9 p.m., and at least one person was missing in the water, a Grant County emergency services dispatcher said. Divers from the Grant County Water Rescue were searching the lake.
Union Centre Bash will rock, roll
WEST CHESTER TWP. - Fuel, the Turtles, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals and a Beatles tribute band will rock the Union Centre Bash with free concerts Aug. 13-15.
Fuel, a Pennsylvania-based hard rock band, will headline at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Bash, along Union Centre Boulevard.
WGRR-FM's Oldiesfest moves from the Butler County Fairgrounds to the township Aug. 15.
