Driver charged after hitting police cruiser

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP - A police officer and a juvenile in his custody were injured when the parked cruiser they were sitting in was rear-ended Saturday morning.

Colerain Township officer Michael Owen was parked in front of Extra Innings Bar, 8325 Colerain Ave., when his cruiser was hit by a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Don Clark, 61, who lives in the 2300 block of Banyon Court in Fairfield.

Owen was taken to University Hospital, where he was treated and released. A 17-year-old girl who was sitting in the back seat of the cruiser was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. No information was released about her identity or condition.

Clark faces charges of driving under the influence, drug abuse and failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Tip leads to meth lab in rented storage unit

SHARONVILLE - Four people were arrested Friday night after police found a methamphetamine lab inside a rented storage unit on Kemper Road.

Police say a tip from a Clermont County drug agent led them to Public Storage, 3677 Kemper Road, near Route 42.

Police did not release the names of those arrested, but Sharonville Lt. Franklin Federle said two of the suspects were from Hamilton County, one from a surrounding Ohio county and one from Northern Kentucky.

Covington man hasn't been seen for five days

The Warren County Sheriff's Office the Covington Police Department and U.S. Postal Inspectors are investigating the disappearance of a Covington man.

William McGill was last seen July 5 at 3 p.m. when he dropped off his nephew in Morrow.

McGill, 45, is described as a white , with black hair and blue eyes. He is 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, and was last seen wearing a Reds cap, a blue-and-white shirt, and blue shorts. His vehicle is a 1994 teal-colored Ford Explorer.

McGill, an employee of the U.S. Postal Service, is single and lives with relatives in Covington.
