Cincinnati Bell to use Convergys software

The Enquirer

CINCINNATI - Two old friends have extended their relationship.

Convergys Corp., the billing and customer-care provider spun off from Cincinnati Bell in 1998, said last week Cincinnati Bell Inc. extended its billing outsourcing agreement and agreed to deploy Convergys' Infinys software, which allows telephone and cable providers to use a single billing platform for multiple services.

Financial terms weren't disclosed, but bundling of multiple services on a single bill has become increasingly critical to cable and telecom providers.

Tomak Precision Inc. wins accreditation

LEBANON - A producer of close-tolerance machine parts here has achieved its goal of obtaining ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100:2001 accreditation.

Tomak Precision Inc., at 535 N. Broadway, set the goal as a way of celebrating its half-century mark in business.

The company was founded in 1953.

"Our business has changed and improved dramatically from its beginning," said production manager A.J. Schaepher. "The heart of ISO/AS is a more regimented management philosophy, which Tomak believes will help them service their current customers as well as new customers, better."

The majority of Tomak's customers are in the aerospace, medical and machine tool markets.
