UK losing Cote to Northwestern

Kentucky forward Bernard Cote will transfer to Northwestern, the university announced. Cote will sit out the 2004-05 season due to NCAA transfer rules and will be eligible to play as a junior in 2005-06. The 6-foot-9, 230-pound forward played in 27 of Kentucky's 32 games last season as a sophomore, averaging six minutes a game. He was an all-Canada player in high school, playing alongside Northwestern junior guard Mohamed Hachad at Champlain St.-Lambert in Quebec.
