This year, there's a new way to let people know that the 'Hood is Bigger Than You Think. With free Invite-A-Friend postcards, you can entice your neighbors to check out the 10th annual 'Hood Tour. The summer series of events, presented by the Learning Through Art organization, seeks to unify city residents through multicultural celebrations of art and music.
The reveling begins with free international music and dance performances that range from salsa rhythms to New Zealand steps, all at the 'Hood Tour Festival on Friday at Cincinnati Museum Center. On Aug. 28, the Crown Jewels of Jazz concert will bring Nancy Wilson and Kathy Wade to the Music Hall stage.
You can find the postcards at locations throughout the area, including the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County's branches and the Museum Center. For a full list of distribution spots and more information about the 'Hood Tour, call (866) 242-3252 or go to www.learningthroughart.com.
