Open call for bad singers

By Lauren Bishop
Enquirer staff writer

Have a friend, relative or co-worker who constantly croons like he's Clay Aiken, but who really warbles like William Hung? Here's your chance to share your pain with the nation. VH1 will be filming for a new hidden camera show on July 26 and 27 in Cincinnati, and organizers are looking for people willing to pull a prank on someone who loves to perform but who wouldn't have a prayer on American Idol.

If you're at least 21, e-mail your name, your friend's name, your ages, a brief description of what makes your friend right for the show and your telephone number to Tracina.Travis@vh1staff.com. Entries must be received by Thursday.

VH1 will send you more information on when and where to bring your friend to complete the prank and be filmed for probable inclusion in the new show.

Just don't tell your deluded friend that you're submitting his or her name - you won't be able to participate if you do.

For more information, e-mail singers@vh1staff.com or call (310) 582-3752.
