Oak Hill Financial to buy Ripley bank
Jackson, Ohio-based Oak Hill Financial Inc. said Tuesday it has agreed to buy Ripley National Bank in Ripley, Ohio, for $5.5 million in cash. The deal will allow the parent of Oak Hill Banks to pick up two branches in Ripley and nearby Georgetown with assets of $55 million and $50 million in deposits. The deal is expected to be completed by October. Oak Hill has assets of $981 million and 27 branches in central and southern Ohio.
New AT&T service available in N.Ky.
AT&T, which last week launched its broadband-based phone service in Cincinnati and the rest of Ohio, expanded into Northern Kentucky this week. The company said its CallVantage Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service is available to residents in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties. The company is offering unlimited local and long-distance service for the first six months at $19.99 through the end of August. That service normally costs $34.99.
