ROLLER HOCKEY UPDATE


A look at the North American Roller Hockey Championships

Wednesday's review: With three days remaining in tournament action, Tour Smoke of New York claimed Wednesday's championship at the North American Roller Hockey Championships.

In the Mite Platinum (10-under) final, Tour Smoke defeated the St. Louis Tour Blast, 6-1.

St. Louis won the Mite Finals last year in competition in Lee County, Fla.

Local teams: In Mite Silver preliminaries, Pro Joy Cincinnati Storm fell to Mission AKS San Clemente, 7-3, and Anaheim Mission Bulldogs White, 8-0.

The Cincinnati Skatetown Swords '94 lost to the Anaheim Mission Bulldogs White, 10-2, and to Mission Primal (Calif.), 5-3.

Today's schedule: The Senior (18-over) division gets into action today with two Cincinnati teams, the Skatetown Swords and Steam Rockers, facing each other in preliminary competition.

The Cincinnati Snipers also take the rink today in afternoon Senior play. Semifinals are scheduled in Pee Wee Silver.
