It was one of those episodes of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica that left your head spinning.
Nick and Jessica are off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Jessica will be photographed for the cover of Elle. Since it will be a closed set, Joe, Jessica's father/manager, explains that the trip will give Nick and Joe time to bond.
The two first rent all-terrain vehicles, and Joe turns out to be a much better driver than Nick. At dinner, they somehow get on the subject of woodchucks, which confuses Jessica.
"A woodchuck pecks into the tree," Jessica says, nodding her head to demonstrate.
When people tell her that's a woodpecker, she tries to redeem herself by explaining that a beaver is "what Eskimos use to walk on through the snow."
"What?" her assistant, CaCee, squeals, excited that she may have witnessed the next Chicken of the Sea moment.
Nick figures out that she's talking about showshoes, which Jessica says are made out of beaver tails. Next Jessica says the top of an acorn is made out of wood. When her companions are stunned to silence, she says: "I'm so confused. Let's go."
At the end of the episode, Joe says that the trip marks the longest time that he and Nick have spent together. Jessica asks Nick for his take.
"It's cool," he says, staring off across the ocean.
