Weekend a rush of creativity
48 Hour Film Project
Starting at 7 p.m. Friday, hundreds of professional, wannabe and newbie filmmakers from Cincinnati, Columbus, Northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana dove into a creative speed trial known as the 48 Hour Film Project. For two days, they wrote, cast, rehearsed, costumed, dressed sets, hung lights, wrote music, shot digital video and edited 30 short movies. Photographer Sarah Conard peeked in on several teams and came back with these images.
Screenings at NKU
Thirty short movies created by hundreds of local artists for the 48 Hour Film Project will be screened at Greaves Hall at Northern Kentucky University. They are eligible for the top award, which is entry into a national contest against other cities' winners.
Programs begin at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. Tickets to each are $7.50, and can be ordered online at www.redparis.com for a 7 percent service fee. For directions, visit www.nku.edu or call (859) 572-5220.
