The Arts Consortium of Cincinnati held its Fashion Explosion for the Arts at Museum Center, which houses the consortium's permanent gallery. The event was put together by the consortium's Toilynn O'Neal and retailers and fashion designers.

Participating retailers included V-Works, Etc. Gallery and the Boutique, while designers included Linda Chapman and Linda Love.

Approximately 75 guests purchased $15 tickets to see the gallery's exhibition by African-American fashion designers and to enjoy the fashion show and cocktail reception. Donnie McFindlay of V-Works coordinated the exhibition.

The Arts Consortium of Cincinnati is the Queen City's premiere center for African-American art and culture. Its mission is to celebrate, advance and preserve African and African-American culture and achievement through art, history and education.
