HAMILTON TWP. - A group of residents concerned with the rapid development of their community wants the Warren County commissioners to clarify which areas of Mounts Road have county sewers.
Frank Colon, of Indian Bluffs Drive, said there are discrepancies between land-use plans used by the county and township.
The group wants to know which areas of the road have sewers and when they were included in the county's system. They say this is a key element of development.
Colon, a representative of Hamilton Township Vision, a group of residents interested in "reasonable and digestible growth and development" in Hamilton Township and Warren County, asked that a study be done to provide a timeline of events, published maps and official acts pertaining to the sewers on Mounts Road.
"You guys bring a very legitimate question; hopefully we'll get answers to all of this with this study," said Commissioner Larry Crisenbery.
Bob Craig, executive director of the Warren County Planning Commission, said the county's land-use plan shows the area west of Zoar Road has sewers, but not the area to the east along Mounts Road.
"I don't consider it unusual that there's a conflict there," he said.
The study is expected to take several weeks.
