O'Gara gets night goggles contract
Specialized Technical Services Inc., the unit of Cincinnati's O'Gara Group Inc. that produces special night-vision goggles for the military, has received a $2.1 million contract, its largest ever, from the U.S. military. The money, in the recently signed 2005 Defense Appropriations bill, is about 75 percent more than the $1.2 million the company got last year, said Michael (Chip) Lennon, president of Beavercreek-based STS. The company expects to add about 30 workers, he said. The new funding will supply U.S. Special Operations Command with upwards of 200 pairs of STS' low-profile night-vision goggles.
Mighty Ducks pick AllOver Media ads
The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks have selected AllOver Media to design an indoor-advertising campaign that will begin in September and run through March. The campaign could include advertising choices such as sports bars, health clubs or movie theaters, the agency said.
