Must see

Olympics Summer Games, 8 p.m. to midnight, Channels 5, 22.

The world falls in love with female gymnasts who become Olympic champions. Some - Olga Korbut, Nadia Comaneci, Mary Lou Retton - become international heroes.

Tonight, we'll greet a new gold-medalist. We'll also see four swimming finals, plus beach volleyball.

Olympics alternative

Aliens (1986), 8-11 p.m., TNT.

More than a decade before Titanic, James Cameron proved he's a brilliant director and writer.

This sequel has Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) returning to a planet with nasty creatures. She remains gutty and gritty, but maternal instincts are also spurred.

There are sensational moments here.

Worth watching

Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson Story (2002), 7-9 p.m., Lifetime. Angie Harmon stars in this interesting and frustrating real-life story as a woman whose respected neighbor was spying on her.

Football, 8 p.m., Channels 19, 45. The New York Giants face the Carolina Panthers in an exhibition game.

Blue Collar TV, 8 p.m., Channel 64. Tonight's theme is vacations, including a fairly funny sketch that has the guys pretending to be little kids in the back seat of a car.

Analyze This (1999), 8-10 p.m., TBS. Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal are perfectly cast in this witty comedy about a mobster and his psychiatrist.

An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000), 8-10 p.m., Disney Channel. This made-for-video movie should please kids who aren't into the Olympics. It's about father-son woes.

Road Trip (2000), 9-11 p.m., Channels 9, 2. Here's a life lesson for all college students: When mailing a tender video valentine to your girlfriend, make sure you send the right one. Don't send the tape you made while impulsively having sex with a nearby coed. Breckin Meyer and friends race to intercept the tape in this mildly funny film.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, 9 p.m., Channels 12, 7. Warrick (Gary Dourdan) has 24 hours to find new evidence before a prisoner goes free.

Without a Trace, 10p.m., Channels 12, 7. A man disappears just before his son's execution.
