Paris Hilton and her missing Chihuahua, Tinkerbell, have been reunited, Hilton's spokeswoman said.
Syndicated TV show Extra had earlier reported that Tinkerbell, who disappeared last week, was alive, but that no details on the dog's condition or where she had been found were available.
The 23-year-old hotel heiress, who has starred for two seasons on Fox television's The Simple Life with Nicole Richie, had offered a $5,000 reward.
Posters for the pampered pet had been displayed all over West Hollywood.
It was unclear how the dog managed to get away from Hilton's home.
Tinkerbell - decked out in pink coats or puppy-sized sneakers - has made regular appearances on the reality show.
Before Tinkerbell was found, Hilton told Touch Weekly that, "If they find out Tinkerbell is my dog, they'll hold it for ransom."
Some wags wonder if the pooch may have bolted in a jealous rage. After having only one pet for years, Hilton has lately been seen fawning over a fluffy dog named Prince. She's also brought home a shifty-looking ferret and a kitten.
