Kentucky obituaries



The Kentucky Enquirer publishes obituaries of residents in Boone, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties as a free service. Boone County

Goldie F. Setters

BURLINGTON - Goldie F. Horton Setters, 77, died Wednesday at St. Luke Hospital in Florence. She was a secretary employed by the Levi Co. and member of Greenview Baptist Church in Florence.

Her husband, Eugene Setters, died in 1975. Two sisters, Viola Clore, Vina Pearl Horton, and one brother, Russell Horton, also died previously.

Surviving are two sons, Garry and Terry Setters; one daughter, Gloria Setters; one brother, Ivan Horton, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home in Florence. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenview Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery.

Campbell County

John D. Casey Jr.

NEWPORT - John D. Casey Jr., 45, died Sunday at home.

Surviving is one cousin, David Casey.

Services will be at the convenience of the family. The remains will be cremated in the care of Muehlenkamp-Ershell Funeral Home in Newport.

Kenton County

Walter Brown Sr.

LATONIA - Walter Brown Sr., 54, died Aug. 20 at home. He was a self-employed stonemason and member of Corinthian Baptist Church in Newport.

Surviving are his wife, Carolina Brown; one son, Walter Brown Jr.; one daughter, Watasha Brown; father, Walter Brown Sr.; two brothers, Ricky and James Brown; three sisters, Shirley Kennedy, Linda Smith and Nona Haynes; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon with service following at noon today at Corinthian Baptist Church in Newport.

Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger is handling arrangements.

Burial will be in Independence Cemetery in Independence.

Pendleton County

Janice F. Snell

FALMOUTH - Janice Faye Snell, 56, of Hagerstown, Md., died Tuesday at the Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md.

Surviving are three daughters, Pauletta R. Stroop, Katherine L. Burris and Kimberly Faye Snell; three sons, Paul R. Burris II, Johnny E. Stroop and Jerry C. Stroop; one brother, Robert Murphy, and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Mount Moriah Cemetery in Cincinnati.

Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth is handling arrangements.
