Business people



Promotions and new on the job

• Brooke Cribbs has joined Mayfield Clinic as public relations/events specialist in the communications department. Cribbs comes to Mayfield from Hospice of Northern Kentucky, where she promoted the agency and its services to medical professionals in hospitals, long-term care facilities and physician offices. She graduated from Ohio University in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in communications management.

• Joseph Hricovsky has been named vice president at Fifth Third Bank; Peter Kwiatkowski, assistant vice president; and Alice Allison, Scott Alsip, and Rebecca Chouteau to assistant cashiers.

• Daniel W. Docherty has been appointed vice president of sales at Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals Inc. Docherty has more than 14 years of pharmaceutical experience. He most recently was executive director, professional education for Shire Pharmaceuticals, where he created a new internal and external professional education organization for the company. He received his bachelor's degree from Miami University and his master's degree from Xavier University.

• Doug Martin has been appointed metro executive director for the Cincinnati division of the American Heart Association. Martin was promoted from a term as development director at the association. Prior to that, he had 12 years of progressively responsible positions with The Beach Waterpark. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and earned his master's degree from Xavier University.

• Kathy Robinson has joined Strata-G Communications as account manager. Robinson will be responsible for working with clients to manage and implement marketing and advertising initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting strategic goals. She was account supervisor with Mann Bukvic Olsen Partners. She graduated from Endicott Junior College, Beverly, Mass. with an associates degree in merchandising.

Awards

• Bramkamp Printing Co. Inc. received an award for outstanding achievement in the production of Service Booklets and Brochures, four or more colors in the 2004 Premier Print Awards. Bramkamp won a Certificate of Merit for their entry Touchstone Investments Powerful Professional Networks.

• John Planes, Paul Czerwonka and Heath Carrier of Planes Inc. were honored with Provident Bank's Vendor of the Year Awards. Planes Inc., Planes Commercial Services, and Fusion Interior Services - divisions of Planes Inc., each received this award for their extraordinary service on two major moves for Provident Bank.

New businesses

• Chef Jean-Robert de Cavel, along with partners Marilyn and Martin Wade, have opened a new restaurant, Pho Paris located at 3235 Madison Road, Oakley.

Relocations

• T.M. & Associates, doing business as the Mitchusson Advisory Group has relocated from Fort Thomas to the second floor of 118 W. Fifth St., Covington.

Milestones

• SpringDot, a fourth generation family printing business, has celebrated its 100th year in operations in the Cincinnati area. The company was started in 1904 by Sidney Deutsch, an Austria-Hungary immigrant who arrived from Ellis Island. The company name was Sidney Printing Works: in the year 2000 it was changed to SpringDot. At the end of 2003, SpringDot was transitioned to its current president, Josh Deutsch, great grandson of Sidney Deutsch and the fourth generation of family leadership.
