LanVision Systems reported a second-quarter net loss and a double-digit drop in revenue Tuesday.
The maker of health care information systems, based in Blue Ash, said the poor results primarily reflect a decline in add-on purchases and delayed purchasing decisions. Sales fell 13.8 percent to $2.6 million, and LanVision posted a net loss of $462,328 compared with a profit of $213,596 in the same quarter last year.
LanVision shares closed Tuesday at $3.328, up 34.8 cents or 10.5 percent.
Scripps VP plans to retire
Stephen W. Sullivan, former president of Harte-Hanks Newspapers and vice president of newspaper operations for Cincinnati-based E.W. Scripps Co., announced Tuesday that he plans to retire Dec. 31. Sullivan began his career more than three decades ago selling ads for the Caller-Times in Corpus Christi, Texas.He was the paper's president and publisher from 1997 to 2000.
