A Cincinnati police officer who was shot at in March by a suspect in the back of her cruiser will throw out the first pitch at tonight's Cincinnati Reds game, the team's annual thank-you day for local officers and firefighters.

Katrina Neal was chosen for the honor by the department for her handling of the incident. A woman on the sidewalk was hurt by one of the bullets.

Neal was driving a 17-year-old to juvenile detention when he allegedly wriggled a gun out of his clothes and fired at her. She rolled out of the car, took cover behind a building and waved other cars away. The juvenile was indicted in April on two charges of attempted murder, three charges of felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon and escape. His case is pending.

The Reds gave out 1,400 free tickets for the 7:10 p.m. game, against the Milwaukee Brewers, to local officers and firefighters.
